As a part of the Third Day of Between Theology and the Political, there will be three one hour workshops after lunch on Saturday 28th March. These will provide our delegates with the chance to share their own experiences as volunteers, activists, citizens and community members and contribute themselves to the development of the themes of the conference. Each workshop will be opened by a respective expert in each field, but the majority of the session will be over to you!
Workshop One: Interfaith Community Organising with Marigold Bentley (Quakers) and Haifaa Jawad (Head of Middle Eastern Studies, University of Birmingham) .
Workshop Two: The Future of Activism with Niall Cooper (director of Church Action on Poverty)
Workshop Three: Taking Nature Public: Organising, Environments, Religions with Keiren Turner-Dave (prospective Parliamentary candidate for Manchester Central, Green Party of England and Wales) and John Cooper, Christian Aid.
